Are all MMU students that dirty?

Went to the place where I used to stay 5 years ago before my family and I shifted to Ayer Keroh and to my dismay, the house does not look like the one that i used to live in. Yes, I mean the house in Bukit Beruang which my parents rented out to some girls 5 years back. Yes, GIRLS!! You got to believe it. We always thought that girls can take care of the house better than guys do, but if you were in my shoes this morning, you'll trust my words. I just could't believe that they could actually live in a house so dirty, dusty and full of lizards and rats droppings not forgetting the cockroaches wings everywhere.

The floor look as though it has not been mop for years and the Ceiling fan...huh!! The dust accumulated for the past 5 years and is totally BLACK. Seems like no one seems to bother to clean it but it's okay maybe they do not have the ladder. The worst part is I'm the one who have to climb the ladder and clean it. Gosh! Next, lets go into the bathroom. The walls and floor is so brown (means dirty la) and the bath tub is Brown in colour. They actually have the guts to bath in there! Yucks!! This make me wonder, is it that difficult to actually take a brush and some soap and start scrubbing the walls and floor once a week? It's the place where take your shower to clean up yourself. If the bathroom is dirty, I wonder the person who live there could be how clean. Haih....it's just an eye-sore!! After that the kitchen. Firstly, the refrigerator, there's fungus in the food which they keep in there and on the tray. We all know that bacteria only can live in a place which is damp but not in cold or humid places. I have no idea how the fungus can grow in there. Ask Mr. Scientist! =) Secondly, the washing machine. When my sister and I move the washing machine to one side, to our disgust, there's so many rat droppings underneath it. Well, the fact that Bukit Beruang got many rats that seems to be wondering around since those days, those students living there should block underneath the door with the wood which we provide them. By doing so, they can prevent those creatures from entering your house. Then again, who cares attitude comes in.
Witnessing all this reminds me of an article in Berita Harian whereby a citizien living in Melaka is fed up with MMU students who has changed Bukit Beruang dramatically. Before MMU was set up in Melaka in 1998, Bukit Beruang was a very peaceful place to live in -Clean and serene. According to this guy, he was shocked that being an educated student who studies in University, we tend to take cleanliness lightly. Even the house where they live in is not taken care of, what more those along the streets. Well, dispite the fact that the emergence of MMU in 1998 had brought many changes to Melaka in terms of it's economy however, there are also some consequences as well. This is the fact we have to accept it, in every goodness there must be some bad stuffs. However, being an Educated student from good family background, I'm sure we can contribute a little to the Malaccan's community by keeping our surroundings clean. Stop littering and start keeping our home clean. Living in a clean house will make us feel as if we're back at our home in hometown. If in our own parents house we can keep clean, why not do the same wherever we live in.

After cleaning and painting the walls for the whole house with white coating the whole day, here I am blogging. Tomorrow, is another tiring day after comes back from church. Have to paint the actual colour for the walls and wash the floor. Then we can put the house up for Renting Again. If you're interested, you can call my dad at 013-631 6125. This house is furnished with televisyen, refrigerator, washing machine, beds, plastic tables ( the one you play mah jong ), plastic chairs, and one cupboard for your clothes. Not to worry, when we hand over the house to those interested, it would be sparkling clean. We will wash and scrub it clean enough for normal humans to live in. Once it is ready, i'll upload some pictures for you all to see it!
